About Severn
The Severn Improvement Association is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization. The "501(c)(4)" refers to a section of the Internal Revenue Code that recognizes social welfare organizations and civic leagues — groups that exist to promote the common good and general welfare of the community they serve. Like many neighborhood and community associations, we operate to benefit our residents and our area as a whole rather than to generate profit. GiveWho We Are
Our Team & Leadership
The Severn Improvement Association is guided by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, and the work of this group is central to everything we do. The Board sets the direction of the Association, stewards its resources responsibly, and ensures that our efforts stay focused on the needs and priorities of the community we serve.
